Yummy Sushi Gallery in Abbotsford

Love it here. The chefs are very nice however often the servers are slow but it's hard for them to get good waiters.

The service was adequate and the food was decent, but they assessed a 15% “Covid-19” surcharge—without informing us at the beginning of the meal. (It was in the fine print of a notice at the cash registrar) Had they informed us prior to eating, I’d have happily made an informed decision as to whether to dine there.

The restaurant has been a little shaky as far as food and service since the changeover of ownership, but we are long time customers and we will continue to come back for overall exceptional sushi. What would bring this review back up to 5 stars would be the return of your 10% discount on take-out orders. This feature was a big standout for us in the past and was a big factor In what made us decide on Yummy for sushi.

I love this place. Their veggie sushi is packed with veg, I was impressed. I also like their seafood Sundubu. It comes out in a hot stone bowl simmering with a variety of seafood and its packed with flavour. Tempura is so good also. The service is great!

Ordered take out and was over charged on a few items compared to what was listed on the website. Decent quality of sushi. Staff seemed to be friendly.

Worst place ever. Their menu says something else and they serve something else. Worst customer service. Don’t go if you are looking to eat fresh food. Their chicken was old and really hard to eat.

Edit: Wow. What happened? Just had our usual lunch picked up and it is TERRIBLE. The sunomono tastes like water and is a quarter of the usual portion. The house roll is nothing like it normally is and is mushy. Very disappointed. I've always raved about how great the quality is at Yummy, and am embarrassed to think that anyone whom I've spoken to would get food like this.The food here is fantastic. Great portion sizes for the prices. Service can be very hit-and-miss. Extremely busy for take out.

We stay at the Sandman Hotel this place just across the street , the sashimi is very fresh and the price is very reasonable ,will come back for sure .

Well worth going. Great variety and everything was very tasty and well prepared. Generous serving enough for two more. meals. Will definitely revisit next time in Abby. Easy access off Fraser Way and good parking adjacent.

Had an early dinner here with a group of nine. The booth at the side of the restaurant accommodated us with plenty of room to spare. Service was quick and friendly, sashimi was fresh and the tempura crispy. I was sceptical of the deep-fried California Roll, but was pleasantly surprised. The owners are a charming elderly couple who also cook and run the place.

First time here, it was really good. The portions are great. The food was great.

Super over priced and the food was mediocre. The tuna was chewy. The rolls were not adequately filled with fish, making for lots of rice and sauce in the spicy tuna. The salmon sashimi was poorly cut and tasted old. Will not go back, do not recommend it.

Love the new management! Extremely friendly staff and they added some new amazing rolls to the menu! Try the avocado bomb and my favorite “fit” roll and you won’t be disappointed.

Switched to Yummy sushi about a year ago. Don't think we have been disappointed a single time. Always friendly and always delicious. Haven't tried every sushi place in Abbotsford but of the 7-8 that we have tried, it's our favourite.

I took my family here for dinner and won’t be going back. I had a horrible experience. Sushi was gross, it was not fresh and poorly prepared

By far my favourite Bibimbap. Sushi is also excellent!

Staff are friendly. Accurate time estimates for take out. If eating in, usually provide complimentary “on the house” rolls.. even with big numbers (multiple complimentary rolls). Sashimi is fresh. Tried this place over 10times over the past several months. Quality is consistent and the sushi is.. yummy.

Best sushi in town! You've got to try it out! Would recommend this place for anyone wanting sushi or Korean food. They have take out service as well!

Yummy matched the lowest prices of sockeye and Atlantic salmon nigiri in Abbotsford compared to 12 other sushi restaurants I visited(tried 4 pc's total from each) . Not only that, but the portion size of their fish was in the top 4. Overall they are one of the best restaurants in Abbotsford for value and portion of their salmon nigiri.

My girlfriend and kids went here the other day. Service was not ok. Kept messing up the order like they didn't really even care to listen. Tried even adding additional onto the order when it wasn't asked for. Didn't add items that were ordered.... Just all around a mess. I won't be coming back here again due to that. To many good places around to have service that is seriously lacking.

I went to order some food today and I am so happy!!! The service was absolutely amazing!! The new drive thru window they have is an amazing idea!!! I love it!! The food was delicious!! I will be back!

Order has always had something wrong. Everytime!

Amazing food, but will not give them my service anymore as they are very rude. Called and placed an order for pick up, she did not confirm the order or give me a price, when i went in to pick up there was a major mix up and the bill went from supposed to being $15 to $60. I apologized and she was so mad she told me to make sure i confirm the order next time. Sorry you don't speak good English, or don't know how to do your job properly 🤷‍♀️ lost out on a lot of future orders from me, my friends and family.

I called and asked if Yummy Sushi had brown rice and the lady said “no” and then “bye” and hung up on me. Like hello I still wanted to order food. I have been going to this restaurant for years. I was so shocked. They were always so friendly before. I’m hearing they have new owners.

Used to be the best but since the new owners have taken over things have gone...... down in quality. Take this California roll for example. Used to be they would be a generous portion of avocado cucumber and imitation crab meat now you get a tiny bit of avocado and way too much imitation crab. All their portion seem to have shrunk and gone down in quality since the new owners took over. Very disappointed. Update: its being almost a year since I last went to this place. I thought I'd give it another chance. So I ordered a chicken bento box to go. And opened it up to find a long thick black hair on my salad that looked like a pubic hair. And that's it I'm never going to this place again. There is no excuse for that!

Pretty darn good.Friendly staff, quick turn around and ... a DRIVE THRU?! On a sushi restaurant? Odd, but convenient. Lol.Servings are decent sizes, prices are right at industry averages. Quality is decent too. Highly recommended for sushi in Abbotsford.

Fantastic service! Very attentive and helpful service staff. The food is delicious and the presentation is spot on. I have gone past this restaurant a thousand times and never paid much attention until yesterday. This was my mistake. I will be a regular customer moving forward. 😃 👌

Fantastic sushi and great personal service. We were greets kindly, placed in the perfect seat for a family of 2 toddler's. They offered a on the house sushi roll before we even looked up the menu! The food was amazing and this is now my go to for sushi in Abbotsford. Definitely recommend this place for lunch/dinner. Look no further.

I wasn’t seat right away, employees were just staring at me. Then was seated after a bit and I figured out what I wanted, they took my order and they gave me something on the house. My sushi came but not my starter. Avocado wasn’t ready and tasted really bitter. Tuna was okay but it was WAY too soft. Other than that staff was nice and decent prices.

Fantastic service! Incredible food! My girlfriend and I will definitely be back! I had the pork cutlet tonkatsu and the chicken teriyaki roll. Perfect portion size too. I think I just found my new sushi spot!
